The Homesteaders Quartet was founded in 1998 with the goal of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have performed to thousands since their origin with their unique style of Christian music. They have traveled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico presenting their program in large concert halls, on cruise liners, and in churches of all sizes and denominations.

The group has several recordings to their credit and much of their material is written by Lisa and Donnie. They have had several songs in the Singing News chart, the prevailing chart for Southern Gospel radio. They also receive regular radio airplay on the XM satellite station enlighten, and perform on Christian television programs.

The group is made up of Donnie Williamson, baritone, and his wife Lisa, who sings alto and tenor. They are long time Weleetka, Oklahoma residents; Darin Hebert, bass, originally comes from New Orleans, Louisiana; and the very talented Michael Helwig, lead, was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, and now resides near Weleetka with the rest of the group.
