 Donnie and
Lisa both came from Gospel singing families.
Donnie’s family had a traveling quartet and
held concerts and revival meetings while Lisa
spent more time singing with her family at
churches where her father was pastor. Each of
them has a heart for ministry and hopes this new
venture of Christian and family entertainment
will open doors to share the Gospel with the
lost.Donnie has
performed on many of the major platforms across
the United States . In the 1980’s he had a
vision for a Christian musical production, but
the timing was not quite right. He formed the
Homesteaders Quartet in 1998 with the desire to
sing classic quartet music but things began to
change and “Livin’Life” began to
take form. Now the time is right for his dream
from many years ago to become reality.
It was once said by Ronnie
Hinson (of The Hinson’s’ and writer of
“The Lighthouse”) that Lisa Williamson
was one of the finest young songwriters he’d
had the privilege to meet. We all agree with him.
She is the author of “I’m Ready to
Go” which was once the number six song in
the nation according to The Singing News and was
in the top twenty-five songs for the year. She
has written many other songs that have been
recorded by The Homesteaders and other groups.
Donnie and Lisa have two
beautiful daughters, Sadie and Olivia. Donnie has
a teenage son Casey who is not pictured.
It’s hard to get him to sit still long
enough for that. Casey has won many awards for
his acting abilities and both girls are already
starting to sing.
